Layla Hologram Effect Flash Black

Hi guys. So today I have for you the most amazing holo polish in existence. Yes, I think it beats out Chanel Holographic. I present to you Layla Flash Black.

I'm not going to blather on about how amazing this is because you will be able to see that for yourself. Flash Black is a dark charcoal holo with an easy-to-apply formula. These pictures are 2 coats of Flash Black on top of a coat of Jessica aqua base. Layla holos are available on aveyou.com and at Ulta now as well. If you ever only have one holo in your collection, make it this one. You won't be disappointed.

Here she is, the baddest bitch in the holo world, Layla Flash Black. Don't forget to click the pictures to enlarge. Enjoy!

What do you think? Does it live up to the hype?

Pink Wednesday - Make Up Store Britta

Happy Wednesday everyone! And a very happy birthday to my amazing and wonderful husband Rémy today as well!!!

Today I have for you one of the most awesome holos in my collection, Make Up Store Britta. Britta was sent to me by my lovely friend Radha in Singapore, thanks so much for this gem girl <3 Make Up Store is a company that has stores all over the world, but I believe there is only one in the US so these polishes are a bit hard to come by. I know the store in Denver will take phone orders, or if you are lucky enough to live in a country where there are several stores you can probably access these polishes more easily than the rest of us.

Britta is an amazing pink holo. Make Up Store holos have your typical holo formula - they require an aqua base, they dry matte and they chip pretty quickly. But these kinds of holos tend to give the best holo effect out of any polish so I am more than willing to deal with these issues. The following pics are two coats of Britta on top of one coat of the Jessica Hologram Chic aqua base and no top coat. Enjoy!

What do you think? Are you a fan of holographic polishes? Which are your favorite holos?

Hits Zeus and a Thank You to My Followers!

Hello my lovelies and Happy Tuesday to everyone! I completed my last final of the semester today so it is a lovely Tuesday indeed!

Over the weekend, I hit 100 followers and I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of my awesome blog readers. So, THANKS SO MUCH YOU GUYS!!! I never, ever thought I would hit 20 followers, let alone 100 and it really means the world to me! Whether you just come to look at the pictures, whether you read every word that I write, whether you are a blogger yourself or just a fan of nail polish in general, I want to thank each and every one of you! The reason I do this blog is for my insane love of nail polish, and I really enjoy sharing the love and chatting with all of you wonderful people. Just to know that you guys are riding along on this journey with me warms my heart. You guys seriously rock!!! I'll stop before I get too mushy, but I want to let you all know that I do have something special planned coming very soon to thank you guys. So stay tuned!

Anyways, today I have another awesome Hits holo for you all! Hits Zeus is almost too amazing for words. It is a KICK ASS (pardon my French) charcoal with a strong linear holo effect. Again, this polish had an absolutely outstanding formula. Last time I used my aqua base which is meant for holos, and this time I used my regular base coat (Barielle Hydrating Ridge Filler) and the application was still FLAWLESS. Had the same jelly-like consistency of Hits Atena. The polish is thick but super easy to apply, and I didn't have to do any clean up whatsoever for these pics. So good news - no special base coats required for these Hits holos! On to the pics - no words can describe how truly stunning this polish is!

I did three coats here, as it was a bit sheer. So here's 3 coats of Zeus, with my normal base and top coats. Enjoy!

Again, thanks for all the love and support everyone!!! I will see you all tomorrow for Pink Wednesday!

Pink Wednesday: Hits Atena

Hi everyone! Today begins finals week for me, so this is going to be a quick post today. I'll let the pictures do most of the talking =)

Hits is a Brazillian brand of polish, available at Llarowe.com. They are pretty pricy, but worth it, because these bad boys are PHENOMENAL! I may even like them better than my OPI DS holos. The formula is seriously flawless - these pictures are no clean up at all! Most holos are very difficult to work with and are very unforgiving as far as ridges and other nail bed flaws go. Hits holos are the exact opposite. The jelly-like formula of these is so smooth and very forgiving. Best of all, the holo effect is out of control amazing. The only downside of these is that the bottle is so small for the price, but these polishes are truly special and are worth it. Atena is an outstanding fuchsia holo, and some say it's very close to OPI DS Exclusive. I don't own Exclusive, so I can't compare, but I will tell you that this has just about killed that lemming!

So here is 2 coats of Hits Atena over Nfu Oh Aqua Base with Seche Vite as top coat. Enjoy =)

Thanks for stopping by and I will see you all tomorrow =)
