Essence Grey-T to Be Here

Good morning lovelies! Today I have another polish that I picked up recently, Essence Grey-T to Be Here. GTBH is from Essence's newly revamped Colour & Go line which I picked up at Ulta. The display at my Ulta was pretty picked through but this was the one I wanted the most and I was able to snag this and two others.

Grey-T to Be Here is a grey creme polish with a lovely pink shimmer running throughout. The formula was great but I was disappointed to see that Essence had switched over to the trendy "wide brush" style, which I absolutely despise. I know a lot of people like these paddle-type brushes, but I feel like it makes application more difficult for me. The polish pools up on the sides of the brush and I find it much harder to apply polish evenly with this type of brush. However, these type of brushes have been taking nail polish companies by storm and there's just no getting around them anymore. I'm just going to have to get used to them, I suppose.

Despite the tricky application with the new brush, Grey-T to Be Here is a fantastic polish. I absolutely love the shimmer in this color so it gets an A in my book! Pink and grey is always a winning combo =) Here's 2 coats of Essence Grey-T To Be Here. Enjoy!

What do you think? Have you picked up any of the new Colour & Go polishes yet? How do you feel about the wide paddle brushes?

Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone has a splendid day!

  1. YAY! Looks great on you! I love the wide brushes! Maybe because I get better coverage since my nails are mid length. I have a couple of other colors. Modern Romance is gorg but a PITA!

  8. This is so gorgeous and really unique too! The pink shimmer is lovely. ULTA is a bit of a drive from where I live, but if I ever go, I'm going to pick up some Essence polishes and this will be one of them.

  10. Pretty color! And I like your hand placement around the funny-shaped bottles. I've been trying to swatch a few Essences and I had such trouble getting my fingers to line up around the dip in the bottle lol. :D

  12. Oooh, Jacqui, that looks so beautiful on you! This one was sold out at my Ulta (it's SO COOL to finally have an Ulta near me), but I need to call and see if their Essence display has been re-stocked. I did get Walk on the Wild Side, which is lovely.

  14. I feel ya on this wide brush trend. I prefer smaller brushes, like the Essie brush because I have small nails and a wide brush results in me having to do major cleanup. Nevertheless, this is an awesome polish!

  20. This + Finger Paints' "Sparkle Top Coat" = one of the best frigging manicures I've EVER done in my days as a polish junkie. OMG if you have that one you HAVE to try it!!! Its like that copper-pink shimmer inside the Essence bottle taken up to 3,000!!!
